Vegan Coffee Chocolate Mousse Recipe

On the hunt for a decadent dessert for any time of year? You simply must try our vegan chocolate mousse recipe! This airy-light dessert gets a subtle hint of flavor from a splash of Lyre’s Coffee Originale non-alcoholic liqueur. With desserts like these, who needs espresso?

Ingredients

2 Persons

  • 75 g
    dark chocolate
  • 140 ml
    aquafaba (chickpea brine or cooking liquid)
  • 0.25 tsp
    Flavour Kick Chocolate
  • 4 tsp
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • optional toppings
    vegan whipped cream, soy quark, chocolate shavings, berries, nuts

Preparation

    Make a double boiler using a pot of boiling water and a bowl that sits over the top of the pot. Melt the dark chocolate and the Vegan Protein Cream in the double boiler. Set aside until it is cooler but still liquid.

    Meanwhile, use a mixer to beat the aquafaba, Flavor Kick, and salt. Beat until the mixture forms stiff peaks.

    Fold the melted chocolate and the coffee liqueur into the aquafaba meringue.

    Pour the vegan chocolate mousse mixture into bowls, glasses, or ramekins for serving later. Cool in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

    Garnish with toppings of your choice, or leave as-is.
