Sweet Chilli Sauce (high protein, low sugar)

This homemade sweet chilli sauce is low in sugar and packed with protein. By blending together fresh red chillies, ginger, garlic and vinegar with our lemonade clear whey, you get a sweet-sour and spicy sauce. Perfect for drizzling onto noodles, spreading into wraps and serving with grilled tofu, fish or meat.

Ingredients

    chillies, seeds removed
  • 2 tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    roughly chopped or grated ginger
  • 1
    large clove garlic, peeled
  • 0.5 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 large pinch
    salt
  • 30 g
    tomato paste
  • 20

Preparation

    Combine the chillies, vinegar, ginger, garlic, paprika, salt, tomato paste and lemonade clear whey in a blender (or in a jug, if using a hand blender) and blitz until smooth.

    Serve immediately or transfer to a clean jar and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
