Drink to your health! Try a new routine in the new year. A fiery-hot ginger shot in the morning will wake you and your metabolism right up. This drink isn’t the newest hot trend for nothing: Just one shot has unbelievably many vitamins and nutrients that are especially important for your immune system in the colder months.

Preparation

Peel the ginger and cut into chunks.

Juice the oranges and lemons.

Add the juices, ginger chunks, water, and turmeric to a blender. Blend for at least 30 seconds or until well-blended.

If you want a smoother ginger shot, pour it through a sieve. If you like it with bits, leave this step out.

Add the chia seeds to the ginger shot and pour into a clean jar (e.g. mason jar).

Drink one ginger shot (about 40 ml) every morning. Store the jar in the fridge, where it will keep fresh for 5-7 days.
