Chocolate Protein Porridge with Figs

There’s no better way to start the day than with chocolate. We can always find ways to make life more chocolatey. Take this protein porridge, for example. But don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about our 5-a-day. We’ve hidden some grated zucchini in amongst the oats, and topped it off with fresh figs: the perfect bite of comfort as the days get shorter and colder.

200 mloat milk

350 mlwater

125 gzucchini

1 tbspcocoa powder

3 tbspVegan Protein Chocolate

2 tbspWhite Chia Seeds

1 tbspFlavour Kick Chocolate

1 pinchsalt

optional toppingsyogurt, agave nectar or honey, roasted nuts, cocoa nibs

Grate the zucchini with a fine grater.

Put all the ingredients for the porridge (except the figs) into a pot. Cook for about 3 minutes on medium heat. Then reduce to low. Simmer the porridge for 3 more minutes, stirring regularly.

While the porridge is cooking, cut the figs into quarters.

Divide the protein porridge evenly between 3 bowls. Top with yogurt, honey, roasted nuts, and cocoa nibs.
