Vegan Chocolate Chai Truffles

We’ve always got a couple of extra snacks around at home in case we get unexpected visitors. This year we’ll be spoiling them with a batch of spiced chocolate chai truffles.

240 gdark chocolate

80 mlcoconut milk

2 bagschai

6 podscardamom

1 stickcinnamon

0.5 tspcloves

1star anise

1 cmginger, grated

to coat the truffles:cocoa powder
Preparation

Put the coconut milk into a pot with the spices. Bring to a boil. Add the teabag and reduce the heat.

Simmer the coconut milk on low heat for 5-7 minutes. Then remove the teabags and the spices.

Prepare a double boiler of a heatproof bowl set on top of a pot of boiling water. Melt the chocolate and the Vegan Protein Cream, and add the spiced coconut milk. Stir well to mix everything evenly.

Set the coconut-chocolate mix aside. Set aside to cool down. Once it is cooler, put into the fridge for at least an hour to harden.

Remove the mix from the fridge.

Spread the cocoa powder out on a small plate.

Use the coconut-chocolate mix to make 30 chocolate chai truffles. Roll each in cocoa powder.
