Baked Apple with Cinnamon Sauce

Baked apples can be filled with all kinds of things. Think marzipan, nuts, dried fruit, crumbles, and more! Follow our baked apple recipe and we can guarantee you no hidden calorie traps, either. We never stray from high-protein and, above all, high-quality ingredients.

Ingredients

For the baked apples:

    apples (like Boskoop)
  • tbsp
    maple syrup or honey
  • 1
    egg white
  • 0.5
    vanilla pod (optional)

For the cinnamon sauce:

    Preheat the oven to 180° C.

    Cut off the top of each apple. Remove the cores with a spoon or an apple corer. Make sure you’ve made enough space to hold the filling.

    For the filling:

    If using a vanilla pod, use a knife to slice open one side of the pod. Then use the flat side of the knife to scrape the seeds from the inside of the pod. Mix in the oatmeal, Nuts & Berries, maple syrup, egg white, cinnamon, and vanilla.

    Place the filling into both apples. Put the lids back on. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

    For the sauce:

    Mix Whey Protein and milk. Heat gently.

    Serve the baked apples warm with the cinnamon sauce.
